Safety and Security Labels
The Importance of Security Labels
It's extremely important that you mark specific items with tamper proof security labels. For example, when you buy over-the-counter pharmaceutical products, you'll notice that they're all secured with some form of an anti-tamper seal. This is to ensure that the product has never been used by anybody else prior to purchase. With that being said, there may be instances where some of the products that you carry need that same guarantee of protection. If you don't use a security label on a product, not only does this put your customers at risk, but you could face legal consequences.

Where Can You Place Security or Safety Labels?

- Video game consoles
- Gas station pumps
- Over-the-counter medications
- Televisions
- Computer components
- Automobiles
- Appliances such as refrigerators and stoves
What Happens if a Security Label is Tampered?
If a security label has been tampered with, there will be a noticeable cut in the label and it will display the holographic word "void" across the label in place of the original message. If this happens, the product is officially unusable (if it's food or medication) or its warranty is completely invalid.
